These patios are interior courtyards designed to provide light, ventilation, and a cool space for daily life, often featuring fountains, wells, and lush vegetation to help refresh the home during the hot months.
Throughout the city, you will find both historic monumental patios—such as those in the Palacio de Viana—and traditional neighborhood patios maintained by local residents.
