✝️ WHAT IT IS

San Roque’s Semana Santa is a deeply moving and historic celebration, recognized as a National Tourist Interest event in Andalucía. The processions combine centuries-old religious images from Gibraltar (14th–18th century) with the unique charm of Andalusian traditions. Every procession reflects both faith and history, commemorating the city’s founding in 1704 by Gibraltarian exiles, and continues to captivate locals and visitors alike.

📅 SCHEDULE

  • Sunday, 29 March — 10:30h
Departure: Capilla de Nuestra Señora de la Visitación
Event: Santa Misa del Domingo de Ramos
  • Monday, 30 March – Sunday, 5 April
Processions depart from the city’s main churches (Ermita de San Roque and Parroquia Santa María la Coronada) in the evening, with arrival times varying per day.

🎟️ ROUTE

The main procession route passes through the Historic-Artistic Monumental Ensemble of San Roque, including streets such as Plaza de la Iglesia, General Lacy, Almoraima, San Felipe, and surrounding areas.
