
The V Marcha Popular por el Pinar del Rey Ciudad de San Roque is a non-competitive community walking event that brings people together for a day of outdoor activity and social connection in the beautiful Pinar del Rey natural park. Participants follow a 12-kilometer scenic route through forest trails, enjoying moderate-low difficulty terrain and the lush surroundings of one of San Roque’s most iconic landscapes.
Organised by the Sports Department of the San Roque Town Hall with the collaboration of the Club de Montaña Quercus, this popular march combines physical activity with neighbourhood camaraderie and concludes with a shared meal of rice and beverage for all registered walkers.
15 March 2026 – The walk begins at 9:30 h, with bib collection and check-in starting beforehand.
Participation is open to walkers from 12 years and older, with a maximum of 250 participants. Walkers aged 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult or carry written parental authorisation. Registration costs €5, which includes a commemorative T-shirt as well as rice and a drink at the post-event meal. Sign-ups are open via Gesconchip or at the Sports Department offices in Camino del Almendral.
Comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear for forest paths and mixed terrain are recommended to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Walkers, family members, and community supporters are encouraged to join and cheer along the route, sharing in the experience of nature and collective activity. Participants are advised to arrive early for bib collection and to prepare for a leisurely but active day, with hydration and sun protection recommended.
