Experience one of the most magical nights of the year as Noche de San Juan returns to the coastal districts of San Roque on the evening of 23rd June.
As midnight approaches, the communities of Taraguilla, Torreguadiaro, Puente Mayorga, Campamento and Guadarranque come alive with bonfires, traditional Juanillo effigy burnings, live festivities, midnight swims and centuries-old rituals that mark the arrival of summer.
Deeply rooted in pagan and Christian traditions, San Juan Night is a celebration of renewal, where fire symbolises purification, the release of negativity, and the welcoming of a new season.
Families, friends and visitors gather on the beaches and in the town squares to enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with tradition, community spirit and summer celebrations by the sea.
Whether you're taking part in a midnight dip, making a wish by the bonfires or simply soaking up the atmosphere, this is one of San Roque's most cherished annual traditions.
