Playa de Guadalquitón: Bunker Beach

Playa de Guadalquitón, commonly known as 'Bunker Beach', is a hidden gem of Sotogrande. This beach is nestled on the apex of a beautiful and protected natural reserve, Los Alcornocales, a vast and ancient forest of cork oak trees that covers more than 170,000 hectares of land, making it the largest cork oak forest in the world. It is home to a rich and diverse ecosystem of plant and animal species, many unique to the region. The beach is accessed via a long wooden boardwalk leading to over 6 km of coastal landmarks, offering immaculate views of the Strait of Gibraltar.

Despite their historical significance, the bunkers are still relatively unknown to many visitors, making them a hidden gem for those in the know.
