Intro

When you think of Sotogrande, what springs to mind? Its picturesque setting? The stunning beaches, the elegant yachting marina, the world-class golf courses, or the thrilling international polo events? The list is endless… But Sotogrande isn’t just about sand, sea and sports; it’s also a culinary treasure trove. As an enthusiastic foodie, I feel incredibly fortunate to call this slice of paradise home, and have shared countless incredible dining experiences with friends, family, and colleagues both here and beyond. Allow me to share some of my favourite @sotobites spots with you…From refined dining experiences for special occasions to more budget-friendly, casual meals with loved ones, Sotogrande has something for everyone. Whether you’re discovering this haven for the first time this summer, a regular visitor, or lucky enough to call Sotogrande home, I hope my recommendations inspire your next bite!

Cancha Dos

Haciendas de San Enrique, s/n, 11312 San Enrique de Guadiaro

Cancha II can be found nestled amongst some of Sotogrande’s oldest trees lining the second polo pitch at Ayala Polo Club. Open all-year-round, Cancha II is renowned for its steak, however, they have recently expanded their menu to feature a variety of fresh, local products cooked on an Argentinian-style BBQ, imparting a unique flame-kissed flavour to their dishes. Specials cooked up by their talented team include grilled tiger prawns and charred leeks, which complement their menu’s array of Argentine and Uruguayan cuts, and their famous homemade empanadas (to name just a few dishes!).
“My personal favourite dish changes often, as I absolutely love everything, but this week it's our twist on potato gratin - we’ve added caramelised leeks, mushrooms, strong cheddar cheese, and topped it with truffle crumbs. It's delicious on its own, but paired with a juicy rib-eye steak, it's extraordinary! We look forward to welcoming you soon!” - Elizabeth Thomas, General Manager at Cancha II
Last but definitely not least, make sure you ask their wonderful front of house team for recommendations on wines (they have some real gems on their menu) or cocktails to complement Cancha II’s delicious dishes.

Foodisiac

Perched beside the picturesque marina, Foodisiac restaurant is the perfect place for food lovers to enjoy a warm and welcoming ambiance in the heart of Sotogrande. While its menu is firmly rooted in the rich traditions of Mediterranean cuisine, Foodisiac also offers global dishes crafted from the finest regional ingredients. Wild red tuna crispy sushi or grilled sea bass from the estuaries of Cádiz, expertly prepared by Chef Francisco Crespo, are just some of Foodisiac’s staple dishes.By day, Foodisiac buzzes with energy as a lively brunch spot, serving barista-prepared single-origin coffee and irresistible pastries. As evening falls, the restaurant transforms into a romantic destination for a late lunch or dinner, providing stunning views of the boats docked in Sotogrande’s beautiful marina.

InBoca Gastrobar

InBoca Gastrobar, just a stone's throw from Sotogrande in Torreguadiaro, delights diners with a creative menu that showcases innovative fusion tapas. Celebrating the best of locally sourced seafood and fresh ingredients, InBoca elevates traditional Spanish cuisine with contemporary twists.Indulge in dishes like tender grilled octopus served with parmentier potato purée, or crispy goats cheese croquettes paired with tangy red pepper jam. Each plate at InBoca is beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The inviting atmosphere of InBoca provides the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with family and friends. It is no wonder why InBoca is a favourite among locals and tourists alike!
